For more than five years, he worked as a store manager, then a district manager for a wireless retailer, managing stores in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Concord, Pineville, Matthews, Spartanburg, and Greenville. After living in Charlotte for three years, James moved to Greenville and fell in love with the Upstate.
