U.S. house prices inched upward 1.4% from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency. From the fourth quarter of 2011 to the same quarter in 2012, seasonally adjusted home prices increased 5.5%. “The fourth quarter was another strong one for house prices, as it was the third consecutive quarter where U.S. price growth exceeded 1%,” said FHFA Principal Economist Andrew Leventis.
