Hollywood Gay Neighborhoods
Don’t get it confused with its more popular California counterpart—Hollywood, Florida, may not have a popular sign or celebrities, but it’s still a gorgeous place to live. With temperatures that are usually in the 70s, it’s perfect for those who are looking for mild weather all year long. Today, Hollywood is home to almost 150,000 people and is one of the main cities of the Miami Metro Area, so even though it’s not huge, it’s close to everything Miami offers.
While it may not have many stars, Hollywood does have a large number of parks and many different beaches. In fact, the Hollywood Beach’s boardwalk actually stretches for more than two miles along the shore of the Atlantic. If you’re tired of the beach, there are seven different golf courses and many restaurants, shops, and other activities to do.
Situated near Miami and Fort Lauderdale, it’s no surprise that Hollywood is often overlooked when it comes to the LGBT community. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great place to live. In fact, it’s more affordable than either of the two larger cities. There’s not a major gay ghetto or anything, but it is very welcoming and a nice, quiet alternative to the larger cities.
Condos in Hollywood start at around $55,000 and can cost as much as $5.5 million for beachfront property. As far as single-family homes go, they range from $62,000 to around $5 million.
