Yonkers Gay Neighborhoods
Yonkers is home to almost 200,000 people, making it the fourth largest city in New York. It’s also considered a suburb of New York City, which means residents have access to everything the Big Apple has to offer without a long travel time. The city is home to a raceway, the Hudson River Museum, and a number of major shopping centers. Yonkers is home to a large number of Irish-Americans and hosts one of the longest-running St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country.
Yonkers doesn’t have a particular gay neighborhood or district. As a part of New York City, the LGBT community is accepted just about everywhere. You’ll find that your neighbors are welcoming and accepting no matter where you live in this city.
Buying a condo in Yonkers is actually not as expensive as you may think. Cheaper end condos start at $80,000. Those on the upper end are priced at $1.1 million or more. Single family homes range from $100,000 to $3.95 million.
