Oxnard Gay Neighborhoods

Living in Oxnard, California, has the advantage of being out of Los Angeles itself, but still being close enough to be considered part of the greater LA area. Oxnard has a little over 200,000 people and is the largest part of the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura area. This statistical area is considered one of the wealthiest parts of the country.

Oxnard is one of the main transportation hubs in the area, with a number of different bus lines and railroad stations crossing through the city. It also has a small airport, although it is limited to regional traffic only. The city is also known as the largest strawberry producer in the state. About a third of all of California’s strawberries come from Oxnard.

While it doesn’t have a gay district per se, Oxnard is quite welcoming to the LGBT community. It’s also fairly affordable. A condo runs anywhere from $155,000 to $1.9 million if you want a home on the beach. Single family homes can cost anywhere from $135,000 to $4.6 million.
