I am a gay married man who absolutely loves being a real estate agent.

My husband and I fell in love right out of high school here in Maryland. We eventually moved to New York City where we lived in Queens, Manhattan, and finally settled in Park Slope, Brooklyn for many years. When New York began to recognize same-sex marriages in other states (but still had not legalize it themselves), we cleared our schedules and planned our trip to Connecticut where we eloped at a quaint Bed and Breakfast.

After a few years of marriage, we decided to move to the suburbs (gasp) of New Jersey (gasp) and our adventure to find the perfect home began! It was in New Jersey, amidst the quest for the perfect suburban sanctuary, that we stumbled upon our true shared passion—real estate.

The thrill of house hunting became our bonding experience; we discovered that finding a place to call home was not just about the brick and mortar but about envisioning a life together within those walls. We began to appreciate the artistry of architecture, the joy of gardening, and the excitement of creating a space uniquely our own. Even during moments of uncertainty--like relocating back to the Baltimore/D.C. area--we leaned on each other, learning the intricacies of selling and buying simultaneously, and transforming the chaos into an invaluable experience. This journey not only solidified our love for one another but sparked a mutual passion for real estate that led us to turn our insights into a career.
