Additionally, I was elected to Covington City Commission - the first openly-gay elected official in the tri-state - and served two terms. I spearheaded the very first domestic partner benefits program for city employees and assisted in expanding Covington's Human Rights Ordinance in 2003, which banned discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
