A special word to those considering Connecticut as their home.
Connecticut has a proven record of welcoming and embracing diverse populations and offering progressive laws that protect a broad range of its citizenry, most notably the LGBTQ+ community.
Because our politics consistently lean left, Connecticut is (and will remain) a blue state. Right-leaning political views have more to do with economic conservatism and the state tends to embrace a live-and-let-live philosophy. Our state offers a multitude of cultural and art centers including a vast array of live theater, museums and higher education. Our position in New England gives us easy access to beaches, lakes and mountains. Hiking trails criss-cross the state so youre never far from exploring our extensive woodlands.
Of the progressive northeast states, central Connecticut offers many affordable housing options from boutique city living to antique homesteads - and everything in-between. You might be surprised at what your dollar can buy you in this amazing little state.
My focus is serving the real estate needs of the LGBTQ+ community, our allies and our co-conspirators. I serve as a founding member and president of the CT chapter of the LGBTQ+ REA, serving to promote homeownership and fair housing for LGBTQ+ people. Im serving my fourth year on the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors and I serve as this years Chair of the Bridge committee, a team of real estate professionals that works to bridge the gap between real estate associations and traditionally excluded members. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Ivoryton Playhouse, a historic venue dedicated to the performing arts.

Gerald worked with us through good news and bad, was incredibly responsive, and helped us on what felt like a very tight timeline. We love our home, and Gerard made it possible. Gerard was Excellent, and we've highly recommended him to a few other friends and Family in Connecticut. And we have already recommended GayRealEstate.com to friends who were looking for a realtor in another location!- Brian N
Gerard was an absolute pleasure to work with. He kept us informed nearly daily on availability, status, and progress once we made an offer. Looking for a house from out-of-town presents challenges and Gerard was extremely patient and helpful.- Daryl B.
