On June 4, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, No. 16-111, arose from an encounter in 2012, when a couple visited Masterpiece Cakeshop in Lakewood, Colo.
