Nationwide, median asking prices continue to rise, reaching $189,900 in February. But looked at more closely, the size of home most desired can vary greatly depending on the buyers’ age, race, and ethnicity, the study found. Homebuilder Lennar Corp. announced its first-quarter results, revealing that revenue from home sales jumped 40% year-over year to $855.1 million from $610.7 million in the first quarter of 2012. “Our first quarter results clearly reflect continued improvement in the marketplace. Strong momentum in home prices as well as housing activity gave Morgan Stanley analysts enough confidence to upgrade their home price appreciation projections to roughly 7% for 2013, according to its latest global securitized credit report.
