Trump Sues Critic for ‘Cybersquatting’

Other

Real estate mogul Donald Trump is suing a Brooklyn man over “cybersquatting,” accusing the man of operating four web sites that bear Trump’s name and real estate brand. J. Taikwok Yung is accused of acquiring four Trump-related domain names, such as “trumpmumbai.com” and “trumpindia.com.” Yung reportedly acquired the domain names in 2007 when the Trump organization had announced plans to construct Trump-branded hotels and condos in Mumbai and Bangalore, India. Yung has used the web sites to provide commentary and criticism about Trump and his television show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.” […]

The nation’s shadow inventory of distressed properties is down substantially from peak levels reached in January 2010, Irvine, Calif.-based CoreLogic said Tuesday. From its peak three years ago, the nation’s shadow inventory has fallen 28%, with 2.2 million units left sitting in the pipeline during the month of January. That figure is down 18% from year ago levels when 2.6 million housing units still remained in the pipeline. CoreLogic ($25.86 0.3%) develops its shadow inventory figure by calculating the number of seriously delinquent homes, properties in foreclosure and homes held […]

Big Predictions for Housing for Next 2 Years

Other

Home sales are projected to post some big gains in the next two years, according to Fannie Mae’s latest monthly economic outlook. Fannie Mae economists predict that existing-home sales will rise by 10.5 percent this year, and by 6.2 percent in 2014. The economists made even bolder projections for new single-family home sales — growing 15.1 percent this year and 44.1 percent in 2014. “We expect home prices to firm further amid a durable housing recovery, continuing to boost household net worth, gradually diminishing the population of underwater borrowers, and […]

Starting Monday, borrowers will be charged higher mortgage insurance premiums on new Federal Housing Administration loans. And since 2008, the fee has nearly tripled. Some borrowers are rushing to beat the April 1 deadline. The FHA premium hikes are part of an effort by the agency to increase its insurance fund. Mortgage Rates Edge Higher This Week

Mortgage Loan

Mortgage rates moved slightly higher this week, but still remain low by historical standards and are providing support to the ongoing housing recovery, Freddie Mac reports in its weekly mortgage market survey. “Low and relatively steady mortgage rates are invigorating the housing market,” says Frank Nothaft, Freddie Mac’s chief economist. Freddie Mac reports the following national averages for mortgage rates for the week ending March 28: 30-year fixed-rate mortgages: averaged 3.57 percent, with an average 0.8 point, rising from last week’s 3.54 percent average. Prospecting: Persistence, Consistency Win Out

Buying a Home

They must put prospecting on their calendars to ensure that it gets done, blocking off a certain amount of time every day for this purpose. Realty professionals also need to change their views about prospecting — looking at it as merely an opportunity to connect, talk to people, ask questions, […]
