San Antonio’s 2015 Top LGBT Neighborhoods and Home Prices

San Antonio Gay Neighborhoods

San Antonio, Texas, is the second-largest city in Texas and one of the top 10 largest cities in the U.S. It’s also one of the fastest growing cities.  As one would expect from a city with a population of over 1.2 million people, the city’s LGBT population has grown, too. The city has a lot to offer, including its famous river walk, but it also has a couple of gay districts.

Oakwell Farms is a safe area full of families. It’s a quiet neighborhood that’s great for those who don’t want a lot of drama. There are almost no condos in this neighborhood, though, so those who want to move into Oakwell Farms will have to purchase or rent a house.  Single family homes often range from $230,000 to around $535,000.

Midtown is another popular LGBT district. It’s home to many of San Antonio’s most popular gay bars and nightclubs. It’s also a very historic district and is home to Trinity University and a gorgeous Japanese Tea Garden.  Condos are usually priced around $220,000 to $250,000.  Single family homes can cost anywhere from $275,000 to $2.5 million.
