Pittsburgh Gay Friendly Neighborhoods
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the second-largest city in the state. The city is known for both its production of steel and for its 446 bridges. It’s also known among the LGBT community for having a number of very nice gay-friendly neighborhoods.

Penn Hills is a great place for LGBT families who have children. It offers gorgeous historic homes, landscaped streets, and has a number of brand new schools. It’s also fairly close to the downtown area and has access to several highways. Single family homes in Penn Hills can be found for as little as $70,000. The more expensive homes are around $450,000. Condos cost anywhere from $120,000 to $170,000.
Forest Hills is another popular LGBT area. Homes date back to the 1920s and are quite cozy. The area is close to a number of suburban shopping areas. Homes can cost anywhere from $75,000 to $375,000.
