Gay Albuquerque Neighborhoods
Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico, so it’s no surprise that there are a few large LGBT neighborhoods. These communities often intersect with Albuquerque’s large Hispanic and Native American communities. The result is that there aren’t really “gay communities” in the city because of the blending of all of the various cultural groups. Instead, you’re very likely to find LGBT homeowners in just about every community.
However, the Nob Hill district is one of the areas with many different shops, restaurants, and bars frequented by the LGBT community. The eclectic area is also near the University of New Mexico, so there are a lot of students in the area, too. The cheapest condos and apartments start out at $84,900, while single family houses begin at around $123,000. The larger, more expensive homes will cost upwards of $535,000.
