Reno, NV Gay Friendly Neighborhoods
Reno, Nevada, is famous for its many casinos and lounges. It’s been called the “Biggest Little City in the World” and is a very popular vacation destination, especially for those who want to gamble but don’t like Las Vegas.
Reno is a fairly gay-friendly city, although it’s not quite as popular a vacation spot as nearby Lake Tahoe. It is, however, perfect for those who love to gamble or take in a few shows. There are a number of gay bars and clubs in Reno, too.
There’s not a specific gay neighborhood or area in Reno. Most LGBT people feel safe living anywhere in the city. Some areas are better than others, of course, but that’s more a matter of preference. You can find cheap housing in Reno—some condos are priced at around $50,000. Just don’t expect them to be very large. The more expensive luxury condos are priced at $650,000 or more.
Single-family homes can start out at $89,000 or so. The more expensive homes may be priced at $3 million or more—these luxury homes are obviously not for most people, but if you can afford them, they are gorgeous.
