Omaha Gay Neighborhoods
Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska. It sits on the Missouri River and has some gorgeous views during the spring and summer. The city isn’t home to a large LGBT population, but Omaha does have one small gay and lesbian community. It’s called the Old Market, and it’s located downtown with some riverfront properties. It offers a welcoming atmosphere, friendly people, and constant opportunities to be a part of the community through the events that the area put on.
This charming neighborhood is close to a number of businesses and shops. Since it’s close to the riverfront, there are often many different events within walking distance.
Homes in the Old Market start at around $215,000. However, if you want to live with a view of the river, expect to pay more ~ these homes can cost as much as $1 million. Condos in the area usually cost between $200,000 and $250,000.
