Omaha Gay Neighborhoods
Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska with more than 440,000 residents. It sits on the Missouri River and is the center of the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area. The city is a major transportation hub, and its stockyards were at one time the largest in the world. Today, the city hosts four major companies: Kiewit Corporation, Berkshire Hathaway, Union Pacific Corporation, and Mutual of Omaha. A number of other large companies are also headquartered in the city.
If you’re considering a move to Omaha and would like to live in a gay and lesbian neighborhood, you will want to consider homes in the Old Market. This area is a part of Omaha’s downtown, and it does have some homes that sit on the Missouri River. There are very few single-family homes available in the Old Market, but you will find a few condos. They’re generally priced around $300,000.
