For instance, there were 41 single-family homes sold in the Ewa Plain, which includes Ewa Beach and Kapolei, last month, a drop of 15 percent from September 2011.
Meantime, 63 condos were sold in Waikiki last month, a decrease of 5 percent from the same time last year.
As far as pricing goes, the Waialae-Kahala neighborhood saw the highest median price for single-family homes at $1.76 million last month, a jump of 26 percent from September 2011.
For condos, Hawaii Kai reported the highest median sales price at $527,000 last month, an uptick of 7 percent from the same time last year.
The Makaha-Nanakuli submarket had the lowest median sales price for both single-family homes and condos. Homes last month in that area sold for $308,000 and condos were $90,000, increases of 4 percent and 1 percent, respectively, compared to September 2011.
