St. Petersburg Gay Neighborhoods
St. Petersburg, Florida, is one of the largest cities in the state, and it’s also noted for being one of the sunniest cities in the world. Maybe that’s what attracted the large number of LGBT people who have made St. Petersburg their home. Whatever the reason, there are several major LGBT districts in St. Petersburg, and that’s not counting the smaller neighborhoods where many gays and lesbians live.
Broadwater is one of the neighborhoods that’s often considered a secret little area. It’s beautiful, secluded, and very diverse. It’s also near many of the city’s best beaches and restaurants, plus it’s close to Tampa. Single family homes in Broadwater can cost anywhere from $210,000 to $400,000. Condos are much harder to come by in the area.
Then there’s Tropical Shores. This neighborhood is located near the downtown area, and it has a huge population of LGBT people—as much as 40 percent of everyone in Tropical Shores identifies as such! It’s wonderfully diverse, and its location makes it perfect for many people. Again, it’s hard to find a condo for sale here, but single family homes range from $200,000 to $500,000.
