Fort Lauderdale Home Prices
Fort Lauderdale is more than just a popular spring break destination for college students. It’s also home to a growing LGBT community. There are a number of neighborhoods where you’ll find many LGBT individuals and families.
One of the biggest is Wilton Manors. Wilton Manors is actually a small town in its own right, but it’s so close to Fort Lauderdale that most consider it a part of the city. There are dozens of gay-owned businesses in the area. Small condos start out at $50,000. Single-family homes range from $111,000 to upwards of $1 million.
The South Middle River area of Fort Lauderdale is near Wilton Manors and has slowly been renovated and restored. The area is home to a great Gay Lesbian Community Center and many gay businesses. Homes are cheaper than in Wilton Manors. Homes start at $62,000 and top out at around $465,000. Condos are a bit more expensive, ranging from $77,000 to $525,000.
Riverland is located to the southwest of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. This neighborhood features a number of older homes that may need a bit of TLC. The LGBT community is slowing increasing in size here. Single family houses start at $110,000 and can run up to $1.25 million.
