San Jose Gay Neighborhoods
San Jose, California, is the Capital of the Silicon Valley and is home to many different technology companies. Because of this, it’s become one of the wealthiest cities in the U.S., and it currently has the third highest GDP per capita out of all of the world’s major cities. Of course, this means housing prices are incredibly expensive—San Jose’s average home cost is actually around $1 million dollars!
San Jose’s major employers are, of course, companies in the tech industry. PayPal, Samsung, Western Digital, Acer, and Cisco Systems all have their company headquarters in the city. The County of Santa Clara, the city, and San Jose State University are other major employers.
If you’re looking for the city’s gay neighborhood, you’ll find it at St. Leo’s. This downtown area is a part of the larger Greater Rose Garden district, although it’s sometimes included in the Downtown area. Many of the homes here are over 100 years old, giving it a great historical feel.
While homes in San Jose are incredibly expensive, you will find some that are more affordable than others. Single-family houses do start at around $400,000, although the higher end sits at $6.8 million. Condos range from $280,000 to $1.6 million.
