Fontana was founded by Azariel Blanchard Miller over a century ago in 1913, although it was not officially incorporated until 1952. Fontana began primarily as an agricultural community but quickly became a thriving industrial town as well, after the opening of steel mill operations on the edges of town during World War Two. Since that time, Fontana has remained a city full of industry and opportunity, but also one with plenty of recreational, cultural, and entertainment options to enjoy.
