Phoenix Gay Neighborhoods
Phoenix, Arizona, is the largest city and capital of the state. It’s home to almost 1.5 million people, making it the most populous capital city in the U.S. Phoenix is also home to a good sized LGBT population, and there are a few different neighborhoods where we have gathered.
Camelback East is a historic neighborhood home to many who subscribe to the Bohemian lifestyle. Camelback is a great area if you’re looking for a fun, established LGBT community. Note that the home prices tend to increase the more north you go. Condos start out at around $90,000 but can cost as much as $1.8 million. Single family homes are priced anywhere from 92,500 to some massive mansions that cost $9.9 million.
Downtown Phoenix is another area where you’ll find a number of LGBT families. This diverse area has seen some great growth in recent years. Condos here start out at $87,000 and usually don’t go over $150,000. Single family homes range from $340,000 to $3.5 million.
Finally, there’s Moon Valley. This neighborhood is located in the north central area of the city and is surrounded by mountains. The lots are fairly good sized, and many homes have gardens or pools. It’s a very safe and social neighborhood. Homes range from $118,000 to $1.65 million.
