Iowa Realty is reportedly the first realty firm in the nation to offer a training program to enable veterans to become real estate agents.

The program covers the veteran’s real estate training and startup fees, which total around $3,000. So far, six veterans are attending the classes.

“Because veterans are hardworking, highly disciplined, and accustomed to overcoming obstacles, we believe a career in real estate will be a great fit,” says Iowa Realty spokesman Brennan Buckley. “Our men and women in service have sacrificed for our country, and it’s up to all of us to make sure they have a place to be successful when they return.”

Those who complete the training but decide not to become agents do not have to refund the training costs.
