Alaska born and raised in Southeast, Alaska, Derek attended the University of Alaska Anchorage before finally settling down in Anchorage, Alaska.

He began his career in real estate in 2004 as a Director of Concierge at an international brokerage and was licensed in 2005.

After venturing out on his own Derek regularly stayed in the top 10% of all Sales Associates for the Anchorage, Eagle River, Girdwood, Wasilla and Palmer markets.
