Although not a Colorado native, I have spent the majority of my adult life living in the Denver-Boulder metro area. I received my bachelors' degree in Psychology and later went on to culinary school. Before I began my real estate career in 2001, I did many things, including being a counselor at a residential treatment center for adolescents, a job coach for disabled people, and chef/owner of my own catering business in Boulder. Although I was interested in real estate, I resisted getting my license for some time because the image I had of what a realtor was did not match who I was as a person....

Owning and running a small business takes a certain type of individual – one who is not only dedicated to the customer but enthusiastic about the work. With a dozen years in the business before starting my own company, I knew what I was getting into. I currently teach a class through Colorado Free University called ABC's of Home Buying, and have taught hundreds of students in the past few years how to buy a home. I have also taught several property law classes at Denver University Law School. I wrote the book, Colorado Home Buyer’s Guide, which is published by Bradford Publishing.
